STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General Terms and Conditions – EUC Beacon Event
1. Organization
The event is organized by EUC Beacon (hereinafter the “Organizer”). By registering for and participating in the event, the participant irrevocably agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Processing of Personal Data (GDPR)
2.1. Upon registration for the event, personal data shall be collected, including but not limited to the participant’s name, position, company name, and contact details.
2.2. Such data shall be processed solely for purposes relating to the organization of the event, including communication regarding the program, logistical information, and any subsequent follow-up.
2.3. The Organizer shall process the data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
3. Disclosure of Data to Sponsors
3.1. By participating in the event, the participant expressly consents to the disclosure of the personal data provided (name, position, company name, and email address) to the official sponsors of the event.
3.2. Such sponsors may use the data for the purpose of informing the participant about their products, services, and relevant offers in connection with the event.
3.3. Participants shall at all times retain the right to object to any further processing by a sponsor, either by contacting the sponsor directly or by notifying the Organizer.
4. Participant Rights
Participants shall at all times have the right to:
- obtain access to their personal data;
- request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”);
- request restriction of, or object to, processing;
- request portability of their data.

5. Retention Period
Personal data shall be retained by the Organizer for no longer than twelve (12) months following the event, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Sponsors shall apply their own retention periods in compliance with the GDPR.
6. Liability
The Organizer shall not be held liable for the processing or use of personal data by sponsors, insofar as such processing or use is carried out in accordance with applicable law and the information previously disclosed to the participant.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising in connection herewith shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kortrijk, Belgium.
